I have search for a solution and have not found one as of yet. This post is more of a statement than a cry for help. I'm sure my information isn't perfect, however it might help someone else working through the same issue. I have seen several post with this problem described but the post always seems to be missing helpful identification information. Problem: Dolphin slowdown and fps drop after extended play. Read-Only mode doesnвЂ™t change anything, neither does dual-core. I deleted all of DolphinвЂ™s config and cache directories just in case, but that doesnвЂ™t help. My OS is Debian 9 (stretch) ењ†4 and I run Dolphin 5.0-3727, which I fetched from GitHub and compiled yesterday (with all the dependencies, even the optional ones) after noticing the previous version had the same problem. However, Dolphin works perfectly fine as long as I donвЂ™t try to record input, even dumping frames and audio gives me no problem. Loading that state then results in a crash. If I save a state while recording a movie, Dolphin tries to save a DTM too, and fails as well. This happens with the PAL and JP versions of Super Mario Sunshine, as well as the PAL version of Beat the Beat вЂ“ Rhythm Paradise (that is, every game I can currently play in Dolphin). Both the *.dtm file and the *.dtm.sav file are created (and theyвЂ™re not just empty files), but trying to use them leads to an immediate crash (segmentation fault), a complete freeze on an empty warning box, or more rarely an internal LZO error (-4). IвЂ™m trying to TAS Super Mario Sunshine, but whenever I stop the input recording and select an output file, Dolphin says it failed to save it. Is the i3 significantly better and enough to justify the price? I heard the i3 has AVX instructions, not sure what that is but from reading it seems to have nothing to do with gaming. They look very similar in specs but the i3 is nearly twice the price. I'm stuck between the Pentium G4560 or i3-7100 for the CPU. If the i3-7100u is garbage, I'll be looking at the DeskMini.

Game: Soul Calibur 2 (1v1 3D fighting game this came out in 2003, so I don't think the game is too demanding). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Is it a Dolphin issue? A hardware issue? Internet issue? How can I diagnose? I need help! I'm missing out on online money tournaments that I have a fair chance of winning because nobody can play with me. I've deleted Dolphin and purged all its files, then reinstalled it. My computer is directly connected to the modem/router via ethernet. They've tested and confirmed that I have great, stable connection. They also never have any issues playing against each other. The same 10 people play each other every day and I've never had an issue until 2 weeks ago. Now, the choppiness happens even if I'm playing a guy who lives in the same city as me. I used to play against a guy from California (I'm from East Coast Toronto, Canada) and i wouldn't have any issues. I've been using Dolphin for 2 months and never had this issue before. It will continue like this for the entire session. When I'm playing games on Netplay every 30 seconds or so the game will get really choppy / laggy for 5 seconds, then go back to normal for 30 seconds. I've been having recurring issues with Netplay in the past 2 weeks and I was wondering if anyone can help me out.
